Strawberry Almond Soy Milk Smoothie

This soy milk smoothie is my all-time favourite breakfast drink, a healthy substitute to my morning coffee fix. I have one of these every time before my morning anti-gravity yoga, it is actually quite filling and provides me with energy for the day.

This smoothie can be served either hot or cold (I will explain more below) and tastes incredibly good either way. And the best part is - it can be made in under 2 minutes! Perfect for those of you who are always on the go.

Strawberry Almond Soy Milk Smoothie Recipe
serves 2

360ml                     Soy Milk
8pcs                        Strawberries
40g                         Almonds
2 tbsp.                    Maple Syrup (optional, to taste)

* You can boil your own soy milk if you have a soy milk maker at home (remember to soak the soybean the night before)
* Add oatmeal, weetabix or your usual breakfast grain if you are feeling extra hungry!
* Cold smoothie: use chilled soy milk and frozen strawberries
* Hot smoothie: boil your soy milk before blending

1. Add almonds and 1/4 of the soy milk to the blender and blend. Make sure all almonds are well grounded.
2. Add strawberries and remaining soy milk (and other ingredients if applicable) to blender and blend.
